A journey back to physical retail - Part One

Our Founder Rebecca writes:

If you know me, you’ll be aware that I'm extremely passionate about the wonderful experiences that are possible with physical retail and that it was with a very heavy heart that I closed Seekology’s original store earlier this year.

Since March we have been trading online at www.seekology.co, continuing to share the inspirational stories of independent beauty + wellbeing brands across social media and offering customers fantastic impartial skincare advice via our free online sessions.

Throughout this time I have been itching to get back into real spaces; having real life conversations and connecting in person with our customers again. Whilst online retail is great, and we’re all Zoom masters now, the quality of relationships we build with customers is so much more meaningful face to face (although not too close of course!).

The mission of Seekology is as strong as ever: to enable customers to discover inspirational brands and to help innovative brands spread their reach. I’m proud to say we now have over 70 brands live on the Seekology website.

I’m even more excited to let you know that very soon we will be back in physical retail! I'll be able to announce our first space shortly and can't wait to tell you all about it. I'm working in collaboration with a partner who shares the same values and ethos as us and I believe customers will love what we jointly have to offer.

Over the next couple of days I - along with the rest of the Seekology team – will be beavering away to get everything ready: brands, products, fixtures, visual merchandising, marketing, point of sale, logistics, technology… so that we can offer you our wonderful personal service in real life again.

This is the start of Seekology’s second chapter and I am more than ready for it!
